HVAC Control Module Replacement C60

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the instrument panel trim plate bezel. Refer to Instrument Panel Cluster Trim Plate Bezel Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
  2. Remove the front floor console, if equipped. Refer to Front Floor Console Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.

  3. Object Number: 501192  Size: SH
  4. Remove the retaining screws from the HVAC control module.
  5. Pull the HVAC control module out from the instrument panel.

  6. Object Number: 501195  Size: SH
  7. Disconnect the electrical connectors (1) from the HVAC control module.
  8. Disconnect the vacuum connectors (2) from the HVAC control module.
  9. Remove the HVAC control module from the instrument panel.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 501195  Size: SH
  1. Connect the electrical connectors (1) the HVAC control module.
  2. Connect the vacuum connectors (2) to the HVAC control module.

  3. Object Number: 501192  Size: SH
  4. Install the HVAC control module into the instrument panel.
  5. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  6. Install the retaining screws to secure the HVAC control module.
  7. Tighten
    Tighten the HVAC control module retaining screw to 1.8 N·m (16 lb in).

  8. Install the instrument panel trim plate bezel. Refer to Instrument Panel Cluster Trim Plate Bezel Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
  9. Install the front floor console, if equipped. Refer to Front Floor Console Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.

HVAC Control Module Replacement CJ3

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the instrument panel trim plate bezel. Refer to Instrument Panel Cluster Trim Plate Bezel Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
  2. Remove the front floor console, if equipped. Refer to Front Floor Console Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.

  3. Object Number: 522103  Size: SH
  4. Remove the retaining screws from the HVAC control module.
  5. Pull the HVAC control module out from the instrument panel.

  6. Object Number: 501195  Size: SH
  7. Disconnect the electrical connectors (1) from the HVAC control module.
  8. Disconnect the vacuum connectors (2) from the HVAC control module.
  9. Remove the HVAC control module from the instrument panel.
