Air Distributor Duct Replacement IP/LH/Center

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the instrument panel (IP) trim pad. Refer to Instrument Panel Trim Pad Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.

  2. Object Number: 507708  Size: SH
  3. Remove the left center IP air duct retaining bolts.
  4. Remove the left center IP air duct from the cross vehicle beam.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 507708  Size: SH
  1. Install the left center air duct to the cross vehicle beam.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the air duct bolts.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the air duct bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  5. Install the instrument panel . Refer to Instrument Panel Trim Pad Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.

Air Distributor Duct Replacement IP/RH

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the instrument panel (IP) trim pad. Refer to Instrument Panel Trim Pad Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.

  2. Object Number: 507699  Size: SH
  3. Remove the IP right air duct retaining bolts.
  4. Remove the IP right air duct from the cross vehicle beam.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the IP right air duct to the cross vehicle beam.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Air Distributor Duct Replacement IP/RH/Defrost

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the cross vehicle beam. Refer to Instrument Panel Tie Bar Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.

  2. Object Number: 507705  Size: SH
  3. Remove the right defrost instrument panel air duct retaining bolts.
  4. Remove the right defrost instrument panel air duct from the cross vehicle beam.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 507705  Size: SH
  1. Install the right defrost instrument panel air duct to the cross vehicle beam.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the air duct center screw.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the air duct center screw to 1.8 N·m (16 lb in).

  5. Install the air duct bolts.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the air duct bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  7. Install the cross vehicle beam. Refer to Instrument Panel Tie Bar Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
