GM Service Manual Online
For 1990-2009 cars only

Three reversible motors operate the power seats. One motor raises or lowers the front of the seat. One motor raises or lowers the rear of the seat. The third motor moves the seat forward or backward.

Moving the driver or passenger power seat switch to the UP position supplies voltage to the front height power seat motor, and the front of the seat raises. Moving the driver or passenger power seat switch to the DOWN position reverses the polarity, and the front of the seat lowers. The motors are grounded through the driver or passenger power seat switch.

The rear height power seat motor operates in the same manner through the driver or passenger power seat switch.

Moving the driver or passenger power seat (entire) switch up or down operates the front and rear height power seat motors at the same time.

Moving the driver or passenger power seat (entire) switch forward or backward operates the FORE/AFT power seat motor, and the seat moves forward or backward.
