Verify that both of the heated mirrors are inoperative.

Does the system operate normally?

Inspect the heated mirror fuse in the right IP accessory wiring junction block for an open.

Is the heated mirror fuse open?

Test for a short to ground on the heated mirror battery feed circuit. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in wiring systems.

Did you find and repair a short to ground in the circuit?

  1. Disconnect the rear window defogger relay.
  2. Use a test lamp in order to probe between ground and the rear window defogger relay connector terminal L3 .

Does the test lamp light?

Go to Step 10

  1. Disconnect the right heated mirror.
  2. Install a new fuse in the circuit.
  3. Operate the rear defog switch.

Does the system operate?

Test for a loose connection or an open in the switch side feed circuit of the rear defogger relay. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in wiring systems.

Did you find and repair a loose connection or an open in the circuit?

Replace the right heated mirror. Refer to Power Mirror Replacement .

Is the repair completed?

Replace the LH heated mirror. Refer to Power Mirror Replacement .

Replace the rear defogger relay.

Is the repair completed?
