Did you perform the Lighting System Diagnostic System Check?

Go to Step 2

Go to Diagnostic System Check - Lighting Systems in Lighting Systems.

1. Turn the ignition to the ON position.
2. Close all the doors and turn the headlamp switch to the DOME position.

Are the courtesy lamps on?

Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections

Go to Step 3

1. Remove the headlamp switch.
2. Using a test lamp, probe the headlamp switch from the dome lamp switched output circuit to the dome lamp switched ground circuit.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Go to Step 4

Go to Step 5

Replace the headlamp switch.

Refer to Headlamp Switch Replacement .

Did you complete the repair?

Go to Step 8

Using a test lamp connected to a B+, probe the dome lamp switched output circuit at the headlamp switch.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Go to Step 6

Go to Step 7

Repair a poor connection or an open the dome lamp switched ground circuit.

Did you complete the repair?

Go to Step 10

Inspect for a poor connection or an open in the dome lamp switched output circuit.

Is there a poor connection or an open in the circuit?

Go to Step 8

Go to Step 9

Repair a poor connection or an open in the dome lamp switched output circuit.

Did you complete the repair?

Go to Step 10

Replace the Body Control Module.

Refer to Body Control Module Replacement in Body Control Systems.

Did you complete the repair?

Go to Step 10

Operate the system in order to verify the repair.
