Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 522228  Size: SH
  1. Remove the front seat back recliner handle, using a small, flat-bladed tool.

  2. Object Number: 522225  Size: SH
  3. Remove the front seat lumbar knob by pulling it off.

  4. Object Number: 522222  Size: SH
  5. Remove the screw from the rear of the front seat cushion trim panel.

  6. Object Number: 522224  Size: SH
  7. Use a small, flat-bladed tool to remove the push-in retainer from the front of the front seat cushion trim panel .

  8. Object Number: 522216  Size: SH
  9. Pull off the front seat cushion trim panel to release the two retaining clips located on each side the recliner handle hole.
  10. Remove the power seat switch from the front seat cushion trim panel, if equipped. Refer to Power Seat Switch Replacement .
  11. Remove the heated seat switch from the front seat cushion trim panel, if equipped. Refer to Heated Seat Switch Replacement .
  12. Remove the lumbar control switch from the front seat cushion trim panel, if equipped. Refer to Lumbar Switch Replacement .
  13. Remove the front seat cushion trim panel from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 522216  Size: SH
  1. Install the power seat switch to the front seat cushion trim panel, if equipped. Refer to Power Seat Switch Replacement .
  2. Install the lumbar control switch to the front seat cushion trim panel, if equipped. Refer to Lumbar Switch Replacement .
  3. Install the heated seat switch to the front seat cushion trim panel, if equipped. Refer to Heated Seat Switch Replacement .
  4. Install the seat cushion trim panel, pressing in until the two retaining clips are fully seated.
  5. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  6. Install the front cushion trim panel rear screws.
  7. Tighten
    Tighten the front seat cushion trim panel screws to 3 N·m (27 lb in).

  8. Install the push-in retainer to the front of the front seat cushion trim panel, pressing into place until fully seated.

  9. Object Number: 522225  Size: SH
  10. Install the front seat lumbar knob, pressing into place until fully seated.

  11. Object Number: 522228  Size: SH
  12. Install the front seat back recliner handle, pressing into place until fully seated.
