Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 2003955 Size: SH
  1. Remove the charge air cooler (CAC) outlet pipe. Refer to Charge Air Cooler Outlet Pipe Replacement.
  2. Remove two wire harness clips (1) from the oil level indicator tube bracket.
  3. Remove the vacuum hose (2) from the oil level indicator tube.

    4. Object Number: 1717518 Size: SH
  4. Remove the oil level indicator tube bolt.
  5. Remove the oil level indicator tube and indicator.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1717518 Size: SH
  1. Lubricate the oil level indicator tube O-ring seal with lubricant. Refer to Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers.
  2. Install the oil level indicator tube to the engine block.

    3. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  3. Install the oil level indicator tube bolt.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  4. Install the vacuum hose (2) to the oil level indicator tube.
  5. Install two wire harness clips (1) to the oil level indicator tube bracket.
  6. Install the CAC outlet pipe. Refer to Charge Air Cooler Outlet Pipe Replacement.
