Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1335554 Size: SH
  1. Remove the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement .
  2. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
  3. If necessary, remove the left front wheel and tire. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
  4. Remove the engine splash shield. Refer to Wheelhouse Splash Shield Replacement .
  5. Remove the glow plug harness nut(s).
  6. Remove the harness from the glow plug(s).
  7. Remove the glow plug(s).

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1335554 Size: SH
  1. Install the glow plug(s).

    2. Tighten
    Tighten the plug to 18 N·m (13 lb ft).

  2. Install the harness to the glow plug(s).
  3. Install the glow plug harness nut(s).

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the nut to 1.7 N·m (15 lb in).

  4. Install the left front wheel and tire. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
  5. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
  6. Install the engine splash shield. Refer to Wheelhouse Splash Shield Replacement .
  7. Install the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement .
