  1. Install J 39068 onto the front and rear control valve bodies.

  2. Object Number: 1659093 Size: SH

Important: Ensure the coating of transmission fluid is covering the area where the guide pins are installed.

  3. Using a light coat of transmission fluid on both sides of the spacer plate (307), install NEW gaskets (305, 309) onto the spacer plate.
  4. Install the NEW solenoid valve filter assemblies (308, 312) onto the control valve body spacer plate (307).

  5. Object Number: 1659096 Size: SH
  6. Install the control valve body spacer plate (307) and gaskets (305, 309) as an assembly onto the valve bodies.

  7. Object Number: 801960 Size: SH

Important: Do not use an excessive amount of J 36850 to retain the checkballs.

  8. Use J 36850 to install the 12 checkballs (306) onto the channel plate (304). Refer to Ball Check Valve Locations.

  9. Object Number: 1659100 Size: SH
  10. Using a light coating of transmission fluid, install a NEW gasket (303) onto the channel plate (304).

  11. Object Number: 1659102 Size: SH

Important: The manual valve should not turn while aligning channel plate.

  12. Install the control valve body channel plate (304) and gasket (303) as an assembly.

  13. Object Number: 1659104 Size: SH

Notice: Use care not to damage the TCC check ball and spring. The spring must be centered in its hole to avoid hanging up on the spacer plate.

  14. Use J 36850 to install the control valve channel plate check ball spring (302) onto the channel plate (304).
  15. Install the control valve channel plate (301) onto the channel plate gasket (303).

  16. Object Number: 1659105 Size: SH

Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  17. Install the control valve body bolts (300) into the valve body.
  18. Tighten
