Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the coolant reservoir. Refer to Coolant Recovery Reservoir Replacement .

  2. Object Number: 924796  Size: SH
  3. Disconnect the blower motor electrical connector (2).
  4. Remove the blower motor cooling tube (3).
  5. Remove the blower motor retaining screws (1).
  6. Remove the blower motor.

  7. Object Number: 301650  Size: SH
  8. Remove the retaining clip from the fan cage (2).
  9. Remove the fan cage (2) from the blower motor (3).

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 301650  Size: SH
  1. Install the fan cage (2) to the blower motor (3).
  2. Install the retaining clip to the fan cage (2).
  3. Install the blower motor.

  4. Object Number: 924796  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Install the blower motor retaining screws (1).
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  7. Install the blower motor cooling tube (3).
  8. Connect the blower motor electrical connector (2).
  9. Install the coolant reservoir. Refer to Coolant Recovery Reservoir Replacement .
