Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the I/P cluster trim plate. Refer to Instrument Panel Cluster Trim Plate Bezel Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.

    2. Object Number: 924784 Size: SH
  2. Remove the retaining screw from the HVAC control assembly.
  3. Pivot the HVAC control assembly to disengage the locking tab on the right side.
  4. Disconnect the electrical connectors.
  5. Disconnect the vacuum connector.

  6. Remove the HVAC control assembly.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 924784 Size: SH
  1. Connect the vacuum connector.
  2. Connect the electrical connectors.
  3. Install the HVAC control assembly.

    4. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Install the retaining screw to the HVAC control assembly.

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the screw to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  5. Install the I/P cluster trim plate. Refer to Instrument Panel Cluster Trim Plate Bezel Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
