Check Gages

The CHECK GAGES indicator illuminates in the IPC when the one of the following conditions exist:

    • The engine coolant temperature (ECT) is at or above 118° C (244°F).
The IPC receives the ECT information through a dedicated hardwire input from the PCM.
    • The engine oil pressure (EOP) is at or below 34 kPa (5 psi).
The IPC receives the EOP information through a dedicated hardwire input from the EOP sensor.

Water In Fuel

The WATER IN FUEL indicator illuminates in the IPC when the water in fuel sensor detects water in the fuel tank. The water in fuel sensor provides a ground to the water in fuel indicator control circuit in order to illuminate the WATER IN FUEL indicator.
