Driver or Passenger Seat Recliner Handle Replacement All Except Luxury

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 333631  Size: SH
  1. Remove the recliner handle cover (4) from the recliner mechanism (2).
  2. Remove the screw that retains the recliner handle (3) to the recliner mechanism.
  3. Remove the recliner handle from the recliner mechanism.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 333631  Size: SH
  1. Install the recliner handle (3) to the recliner mechanism (2).
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the screw that retains the recliner handle to the recliner mechanism.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 2.5 N·m (23 lb in).

  5. Install the recliner handle cover (4) to the recliner mechanism.

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the screw that retains the seat back recliner lever to the seat back recliner.
  2. Remove the seat back recliner lever from the seat back recliner.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the seat back recliner lever to the seat back recliner.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure.   4. Tighten
    Tighten the screw that retain the seat back recliner lever to 2 N·m (18 lb in).
