Removal Procedure

    Caution: Unless directed otherwise, the ignition and start switch must be in the OFF or LOCK position, and all electrical loads must be OFF before servicing any electrical component. Disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent an electrical spark should a tool or equipment come in contact with an exposed electrical terminal. Failure to follow these precautions may result in personal injury and/or damage to the vehicle or its components.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cables.
  2. Remove the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement in Interior Trim.
  3. Remove the harness connector from the wastegate solenoid by releasing the locking tab.

    4. Object Number: 72262 Size: SH
  4. Disconnect the vacuum hoses.

    5. Object Number: 72263 Size: SH
  5. Remove the solenoid mounting bolt.

    6. Object Number: 72266 Size: SH
  6. Remove the wastegate solenoid.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 72266 Size: SH
  1. Install the wastegate solenoid.

    2. Object Number: 72263 Size: SH
  2. Install the wastegate solenoid mounting bolt.

    3. Object Number: 72262 Size: SH
  3. Install the vacuum hoses.
  4. Install the harness electrical connector.
  5. Connect the negative battery cables.

    6. Important: Ensure that the PCM electrical harness is properly routed to avoid contact with the engine cover during installation.

  6. Install the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement in Interior Trim.
