Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement in Interior Trim.

  2. Object Number: 72256  Size: SH
  3. Remove the harness connector from the boost sensor by releasing the locking tab.

  4. Object Number: 72260  Size: SH
  5. Remove the mounting bolts.

  6. Object Number: 72261  Size: SH
  7. Remove the sensor.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the port gasket on the sensor.

  2. Object Number: 72261  Size: SH
  3. Install the sensor.

  4. Object Number: 72260  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Install the booster sensor mounting bolts.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the mounting bolts to 3.5 N·m (31 lb in).

  7. Install harness connector.
  8. Important: Ensure that the PCM electrical harness is properly routed to avoid contact with the engine cover during installation.

  9. Install the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement in Interior Trim.
