Per Bulletin 02-06-04-020A: PCM Will Not Fit in New Tray - corrosion fender fit left module mount no PCM position water

When servicing the vehicle with the VIN you entered, the following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the described symptoms.

When following bulletin 02-06-04-020A, the PCM/VCM tray bail may not fit over the current PCM/VMC.

The current bail is located about 1 inch (25.4 mm) too low to accommodate the current PCM/VCM. The bail may be moved to the upper bail holes located about 1 inch above the current position. Field reports have indicated that these holes may not be fully drilled or only casting dimples that must be drilled out to attach the bail in the upper position. This PI will be removed when the bulletin has been updated.

Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed. If these steps do not resolve the condition, please contact GM TAC for further diagnostic assistance. This diagnostic approach was developed for the vehicle with the VIN you entered and should not be automatically be used for other vehicles with similar symptoms.
