Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1646806 Size: SH
  1. Remove the surge tank inlet hose clamp from the surge tank.
  2. Remove the surge tank inlet hose from the surge tank.

    3. Object Number: 1646805 Size: SH
  3. Remove the surge tank inlet hose clamp from the engine.
  4. Remove the surge tank inlet hose from the engine.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1646805 Size: SH
  1. Install the surge tank inlet hose to the engine.
  2. Install the surge tank inlet hose clamp to the engine.

    3. Object Number: 1646806 Size: SH
  3. Install the surge tank inlet hose to the surge tank.
  4. Install the surge tank inlet hose clamp to the surge tank.

Preliminary Procedure

  1. Remove the injector sight shield. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement
  2. Partially drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
