Exhaust System Replacement LNJ

Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .

  2. Object Number: 926819  Size: SH
  3. Remove the catalytic converter pipe flange to exhaust system pipe flange nuts.
  4. Separate the pipes and discard the gasket.

  5. Object Number: 1370521  Size: SH
  6. Separate the rubber isolators (5, 6, 7) from the hangers (1, 2, 3).
  7. Remove the exhaust system (4).

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 1370521  Size: SH
  1. Position the exhaust system (4) to the vehicle and install the rubber isolators (5, 6, 7) to the hangers (1, 2, 3).

  2. Object Number: 926819  Size: SH
  3. Install the new gasket onto the catalytic converter pipe flange.
  4. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  5. Assemble the exhaust system pipe to the catalytic converter pipe and install new nuts .
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the nuts to 37 N·m (27 lb ft).

  7. Check the entire exhaust system for leaks.
  8. Lower the vehicle.

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 1836990  Size: SH
  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  2. Remove the right and left catalytic converter to exhaust flexible pipe nuts.

  3. Object Number: 1920456  Size: SH
  4. Separate the exhaust hanger insulators from the hangers.
  5. Remove the exhaust system (1).
  6. Remove and discard the catalytic converter to exhaust flexible pipe gaskets.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 1920456  Size: SH
  1. Install NEW catalytic converter to exhaust flexible pipe gaskets.
  2. Install the exhaust system (1).
  3. Install the exhaust hanger insulators to the hangers.
  4. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1836990  Size: SH
  5. Install the right and left catalytic converter to exhaust flexible pipe nuts.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the nuts to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

  7. Check the entire exhaust system for leaks.
  8. Lower the vehicle.
