Removal Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1372459 Size: SH
  1. Remove the battery. Refer to Battery and Battery Tray Replacement in Engine Electrical.
  2. Remove the engine control module (ECM) bracket nuts.

    3. Object Number: 1372457 Size: SH
  3. Disconnect the ECM connector.
  4. Remove the ECM retaining nuts and the ECM.

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1372458 Size: SH
  1. Install the ECM and the retaining nuts.

    2. Tighten
    Tighten the ECM retaining nuts to 12 N·m (106 lb in).

  2. Connect the ECM connector.

    3. Object Number: 1372459 Size: SH
  3. Tighten the ECM bracket nuts.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the ECM bracket nuts to 12 N·m (106 lb in).

  4. Install the battery. Refer to Battery and Battery Tray Replacement in Engine Electrical.
  5. Perform the idle learn procedure. Refer to Idle Learn.
