Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the air distribution duct. Refer to Air Distributor Duct Replacement .

  2. Object Number: 943438  Size: SH
  3. Remove the retainers from the RH defogger upper outlet duct.
  4. Disconnect and remove the RH defogger upper outlet duct from the RH defogger lower outlet duct.

  5. Object Number: 943428  Size: SH
  6. Disconnect the RH defogger lower outlet duct from the SIR bracket.
  7. Disconnect the RH defogger lower outlet duct from the defroster duct.
  8. Remove the RH defogger lower outlet duct.

  9. Object Number: 909076  Size: SH
  10. Remove the windshield defroster duct retaining screws.
  11. Disconnect the defroster duct from the LH defogger lower outlet duct.
  12. Remove the defroster duct.

Installation Procedure

    Important: If installing a new defroster duct, remove the protective plastic film from the defroster duct before installing.


    Object Number: 909076  Size: SH
  1. Install the defroster duct.
  2. Connect the defroster duct to the LH defogger lower outlet duct.
  3. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  4. Install the retaining screws to the windshield defroster duct.
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  6. Install the RH defogger lower outlet duct.
  7. Connect the RH defogger lower outlet duct to the defroster duct.

  8. Object Number: 943428  Size: SH
  9. Connect the RH defogger lower outlet duct to the SIR bracket.
  10. Connect the RH defogger upper outlet duct to the RH defogger lower outlet duct.

  11. Object Number: 943438  Size: SH
  12. Install the retainers to the RH defogger upper outlet duct.
  13. Install the air distribution duct. Refer to Air Distributor Duct Replacement .
