Radio

The radio power supply (circuit 440) is battery voltage through fuse #5 in the instrument panel electrical center. The radio receives inputs over the serial data circuit, from the body control module which determine when the radio can be on. Circuit 145 is a radio output which is a 12 volt signal to other audio system components to turn on.

Remote Compact Disc Changer

The Remote Compact Disc Changer power supply (circuit 440) is battery voltage through fuse #5 in the instrument panel electrical center. The on/off and operating controls are received by the remote CD changer from the radio over the Entertainment and Comfort Data Buss circuit 835.

Bose Signal Processor

The Bose Signal Processor receives the speaker output signals from the radio. The signal processor then conditions the signals to be compatible with the Bose speakers, and are returned to the radio. Left and right speaker signals are sent from the signal processor to the front subwoofers. The Bose Signal Processor power supply (circuit 40) is battery voltage through fuse #24 in the instrument panel electrical center. The signal processor turns on when the radio supplies the 12 volt signal through circuit 145.

Radio Power Antenna (Convertible)

The power antenna motor power supply (circuit 40) is battery voltage through fuse #24 in the instrument panel electrical center. The radio on 12 volt signal (circuit 145) draws the power antenna internal relay to the up position. When the antenna mast reaches the up position, the antenna motor power supply circuit is interrupted by an internal switch. When the radio is turned off, the power antenna internal relay is de-energized and returns to the down position. When the antenna mast reaches the down position, the antenna motor power supply circuit is interrupted by the internal switch.

Front Subwoofer Amplifiers

The left and right subwoofer speaker signals are supplied by the Bose Signal Processor. The power supply to the amplifiers (circuit 360) is relay controlled battery voltage. The radio on 12 volt signal (circuit 145) is used to energize relay #43 in the instrument panel electrical center which turns on the amplifier power supply voltage.
