POWER ANTENNA SERVICE NEW MINI-MAST ANTENNA

THE 23MM (MINI-MAST) POWER ANTENNA WAS INTRODUCED AS A RUNNING PRODUCTION CHANGE DURING THE 1982 MODEL YEAR. IT IS NOW THE STANDARD POWER ANTENNA FOR ALL OEM USAGE. IT IS ALSO USED TO SERVICE ALL 29MM (SLIMLINE) ANTENNAS BACK TO THE 1979 MODEL YEAR. WHEN USING THE 23MM ANTENNA IN PLACE OF THE 29MM ANTENNA, IT IS MANDATORY TO ORDER ADDITIONAL SERVICE PACKAGES. THE FOLLOWING CHART IS DESIGNED TO EASE THE CONCERN REGARDING WHAT COMBINATION OF SERVICE PACKAGES TO ORDER. WHEN ORDERING A SERVICE ANTENNA OR MAST AND TUBE PACKAGE, YOU MUST ALSO ORDER ADDITIONAL PARTS AS LISTED. (NOTE: THE APPLICATION USAGE IS OF VERY LIMITED NATURE. REFER TO PARTS CATALOGS TO FIRST DETERMINE PROPER SERVICE ANTENNA OR MAST AND TUBE, THEN USE THIS CHART TO IDENTIFY THE NECESSARY ADDITIONAL PARTS.)

General Motors bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, not a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform those technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, do not assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition. See a General Motors dealer servicing your brand of General Motors vehicle for information on whether your vehicle may benefit from the information.
