Removal Procedure
  1. Drain the engine coolant. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .

    2. Object Number: 1313631 Size: SH
  2. Raise and support the vehicle only high enough to access the coolant heater (6) through the wheelhouse. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  3. Remove the left wheelhouse liner. Refer to Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement in Body Front End.
  4. Disconnect the coolant heater cord (4) from the coolant heater (6).

    5. Object Number: 1313630 Size: SH
  5. Remove the coolant heater from the engine block.

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Refer to Component Fastener Tightening Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1313630 Size: SH
  1. Install the coolant heater into the engine block.

    2. Tighten
    Tighten the coolant heater to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).

  2. Connect the coolant heater cord (4) to the coolant heater (6).
  3. Install the left wheelhouse liner. Refer to Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement in Body Front End.
  4. Lower the vehicle.
  5. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
