Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the steering column. Refer to Steering Column Replacement.
  2. Disconnect the stoplamp switch electrical connectors.

    3. Object Number: 2136355 Size: SH
  3. Remove the brake booster pushrod retainer (1).

    4. Object Number: 2136356 Size: SH
  4. Remove the brake booster pushrod clevis pin (1).

    5. Object Number: 2136357 Size: SH
  5. Remove the upper brake pedal bracket bolts (1).

    6. Object Number: 2136359 Size: SH
  6. Remove the power vacuum brake booster nuts (1).

    7. Object Number: 2136360 Size: SH
  7. Remove the brake pedal assembly (1).

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 2136360 Size: SH
  1. Install the brake pedal assembly (1).

    2. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 2136359 Size: SH
  2. Install the power vacuum brake booster nuts (1) and tighten to  20 N·m (15 lb ft).

    3. Object Number: 2136357 Size: SH
  3. Install the upper brake pedal bracket bolts (1) and tighten to  27 N·m (20 lb ft).

    4. Object Number: 2136356 Size: SH
  4. Install the brake booster pushrod clevis pin (1) to the pushrod and the brake pedal.

    5. Object Number: 2136355 Size: SH
  5. Install the brake booster pushrod retainer (1).
  6. Connect the stoplamp switch electrical connectors.
  7. Install the steering column. Refer to Steering Column Replacement.
