Disconnect the electrical connector from the pressure sensor.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Tighten
5 N·m (44 lb in)

O-ring Seal

Tip
Remove and discard the O-ring. Refer to O-Ring Replacement.

J 39400-A Halogen Leak Detector

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 1273252  Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the A/C refrigerant pressure sensor electrical connector.
  2. Remove the A/C refrigerant pressure sensor from the evaporator inlet tube.

Installation Procedure

  1. Using a lint-free clean, dry cloth, carefully clean the sealing surfaces of the evaporator inlet tube fitting.
  2. Note: DO NOT allow any of the mineral base 525 viscosity refrigerant oil on the O-ring seal to enter the refrigerant system.

  3. Lightly coat the O-ring seal with mineral base 525 viscosity refrigerant oil.
  4. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  5. Install the A/C refrigerant pressure sensor to the evaporator inlet tube. Tighten the sensor to 5 N·m (44 lb in).
  6. Connect the A/C refrigerant pressure sensor electrical connector.
  7. Leak test the fittings of the component using J 39400-A .
