Removal Procedure

    Important: The mode cam can be accessed from the driver side floor near the accellorator peddle.

  1. Remove the mode control cable (4) from the retaining clip (3).

  2. Object Number: 1273255  Size: SH
  3. Remove the mode control cable (4) from the mode cam (2).
  4. Remove the screw (1) from the mode cam.
  5. Remove the mode cam.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 1273255  Size: SH
  1. Install the mode cable (4).
  2. Make certain that the cable is properly seated in the notch in the HVAC module.
  3. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Install the mode cam screw.
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the screw to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  6. Install the mode control cable (4) to the mode cam (2).
  7. Install the mode control cable (4) to the retaining clip (3).
