Circuit Description

The radio receives GMLAN messages, containing VIN digits 3 and 4, when the ignition cycles from OFF to ON and the radio is active. The specific VIN data is sent from another module on the GMLAN serial data circuit. The VIN data needs to match the calibration platform ID stored in the radio memory in order for the radio to operate normally.
