Preliminary Procedures

1. Disable the SIR system.
2. Remove the instrument panel (I/P) trim plates. Refer to the following procedures:

•	Instrument Panel Trim Panel Replacement - Right Side

•	Driver Information Display Switch Replacement

•	Instrument Panel Trim Panel Replacement - Left Side

•	Instrument Panel Outer Trim Cover Replacement

3. Remove the I/P cluster bezel. Refer to Instrument Panel Cluster Trim Plate Bezel Replacement .

Tip
Squeeze the upper and lower tabs of the hazard warning switch together. Remove the hazard warning switch from the I/P top panel.

4. Remove the passenger inflatable restraint module. Refer to Inflatable Restraint Instrument Panel Module Replacement in SIR.
5. Remove the I/P upper trim pad air grille assembly. Refer to Defroster Grille Replacement .

Lift up to release the I/P top panel from the I/P retainer.
