No Communication with Radio Amplifier - keywords amp calibration display inoperative no sound

The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
2003-2006 Fullsize Trucks and Utilities without RPO Y91 are equipped with a non-class 2 Bose amplifier. The Tech 2 shows the amplifier as a module to select, but it is not on the class 2 serial buss and the Tech 2 will show no communication" when the Amp is selected .
Recommendation/Instructions:
This is a normal condition and vehicles without RPO Y91 should not have the Amplifier replaced for a no communication issue.
Please Note: 03-06 Fullsize Trucks and Utilities with RPO Y91, are equipped with a class 2 Bose Amplifier and the Tech 2 is able to communicate with the amplifier.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
