This bulletin is being revised to include 2006 model year vehicles. Please discard Corporate Bulletin Number 99-00-89-015E (Section 00 -- General Information).


Beginning in July 1999, GM Defense Military Trucks has been delivering to the US Armed Forces Chevrolet K-Series (4WD) vehicles that have been specially modified. These vehicles can include some or all of the following modifications:

LSSV:

    • 24 volt electrical system
    • Blackout lights
    • Lusterless paint
    • Tie downs
    • HD Front and Rear bumpers
    • Rear pintle & trailer connector
    • Troop seats
    • Gun racks
    • Canvas seat covers
    • Rear tarp/bows or fiberglass topper

EMP (Enhanced Mobility Package):

    • HD front bumper
    • Enhanced suspension system
    • Underbody protection components
    • 2 piece wheel rims with beadlocks
    • In-dash air cleaner restriction gauge
    • Tire monitoring system

Warranty Information

Standard vehicle warranty terms with bumper to bumper coverage of 36 months or 36,000 miles. This INCLUDES all specialty equipment installed by GM, as listed above.

Warranty Claim Process

Special labor operations have been established for use for the unique military and EMP equipment only. These are straight time operations only. Apply standard parts markup to net item field. Detailed comments are required on all claims submitted to include failure and correction information. Use these operations in accordance with GM warranty policy and procedures. See table below for details.
