CLUTCH PLATE PRODUCTION CHANGE NEW DIRECT CLUTCH PACK P/N

Bulletin Covers: (Revised to change # to read 90-7400-102 instead of 90-7440-102)

Some HYDRA-MATIC 3L80 (THM 400) models have a new direct clutch pack which includes two different steel plates that will increase minimum running clearance, reduce drag and prevent higher temperatures.

DATE OF PRODUCTION CHANGE: (Figure 1)

Beginning April 3, 1990 (Julian Date 093) all 1990 FAA, HCA, HFA, HHA, LXA, MTA, MWA, MXA, MZA, SBA, SHA, SJA, TAA, TBA, TDA, TFA, TKA, TMA, TNA, TRA models will be built with this new clutch pack.

NOTE: Install three 8625197 Steel Plates first, then two 8623849 on top. Alternate steel and composition plates as shown in Figure 3. All 1990 vehicles built with previous quantity can be switched to the new quantity.
