The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
Some customers may state that the GM Accessory DVD Headrest is difficult to adjust up or down.
Recommendation/Instructions:
- Remove the seat post guides by squeezing the bottom of the guide and pushing up. (See Document ID: 1967671)
- Remove the ribs that are in the center of the guides. (See Photo Below)
- Insert a 13/32" drill bit into the plastic headrest guide and rotate by hand to remove the ribs inside the guide. ( DO NOT USE AN ELECTRIC OR BATTERY POWERED DRILL.)
- Reassemble and retest.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
