Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 858196  Size: SH
  1. Remove the connector position assurance (CPA) retainer (1).
  2. Disconnect the instrument panel (I/P) wiring harness electrical connector (2).

  3. Object Number: 871922  Size: SH
  4. Disconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector (1).

  5. Object Number: 855736  Size: SH
  6. Remove the throttle actuator control (TAC) module nuts.
  7. Remove the TAC module.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 855736  Size: SH
  1. Install the TAC module.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the TAC module nuts.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the nuts to 9 N·m (80 lb in).

  5. Connect the engine wiring harness electrical connector (1).

  6. Object Number: 858196  Size: SH
  7. Connect the I/P wiring harness electrical connector (2).
  8. Install the CPA retainer (1).
