00 Chevrolet and GMC Light Duty Truck and Utilities Campaign 02029 Update Calibration Will Not Complete Programming - kw air deploy diagnostics module no program restraint SDM recall

The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom described in the PI.

When performing Campaign 02029, the SDM may lock up during programming or prevent access to the SDM. Certain software concerns have been found when using Tech 2 software version 24.003 or 24.004 that will cause the SDM programming to abort or freeze up.

Update the Tech 2 to version 24.005 or later and then perform campaign 02029.

Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed. If these steps do not resolve the condition, please contact GM TAC for further diagnostic assistance.
