CLUTCH GROAN DIESEL DAMPER AND NEW CLUTCH FORK

TO REDUCE "CLUTCH GROAN" IN THE MODELS LISTED ABOVE, A DAMPER AND NEW CLUTCH FORK HAVE BEEN RELEASED. THIS NOISE OCCURS DURING ENGAGEMENT AND DISENGAGEMENT OF THE CLUTCH USUALLY AT ABOUT THE HALFWAY POSITION OF CLUTCH PEDAL MOVEMENT. INSTALLATION PROCEDURES: 1. REMOVE RETURN SPRING BRACKET FROM CLUTCH FORK. 2. INSTALL TEMPORARILY THE DAMPER UNDERNEATH THE CLUTCH FORK USING THE RETURN SPRING MOUNTING BOLT. 3. POSITION THE DAMPER TO DRILL THE REMAINING MOUNTING BOLT 1/2 INCH INWARD FROM FLANGE. (SEE FIGURE #1). 4. USING A 9/32 DRILL, DRILL THE REMAINING MOUNTING BOLT AND REMOVE THE DAMPER. 5. REINSTALL THE DAMPER IN THE CENTER OF THE CLUTCH FORK AND INSTALL THE RETURN SPRING BRACKET. TORQUE NUTS TO 12.9 NM (9.5 FT. LBS.).
