05 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra Extended Cab Second Row Seat Belt Does Not Buckle - kw restraints middle center rear buckle

The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in the PI.

Some customers may comment that the rear seat belt does not latch on their full size pickup built at Pontiac Assembly Center ( E in vin position number 11 ).

It should be noted that the middle seat belt receptacle and the passengers side seat belts are keyed and can not be connected interchangeably. If a customer tries to connect the passenger seat belt into the middle latch, it will not latch. Seat belts will latch when connected into correct receptacle.

Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
