Generator Battery Control Module Replacement 5.3L Engine w/RPO HP2

Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1403618 Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the energy storage box (ESB). Refer to Hybrid Battery Service Disconnect/Connect .
  2. Remove the ESB intermediate cover. Refer to Battery Cover Replacement .
  3. Remove the control module nuts.
  4. Lift the control module up off of the studs.
  5. Disconnect the control module electrical connectors.
  6. Remove the control module.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1403618 Size: SH
  1. Connect the control module electrical connectors.

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  2. Install the control module.
  3. Install the control module nuts.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the nuts to 6 N·m (53 lb in).

  4. Install the ESB intermediate cover. Refer to Battery Cover Replacement .
  5. Program the energy storage control module. Refer to Service Programming System (SPS) in Vehicle Control Systems.
