Radiator Inlet Hose Replacement 4.3L Engine

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 360851  Size: SH
  1. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
  2. Separate the MAF/IAT sensor assembly and the air inlet tube by loosening the hose clamp.
  3. Disconnect the PCV hose from the air cleaner outlet duct.

  4. Object Number: 489179  Size: SH
  5. Remove the air inlet tube and resonator retaining wing nut.

  6. Object Number: 489176  Size: SH
  7. Remove the air inlet tube and resonator from the throttle body by pivoting the air inlet tube and resonator upward until the hinge clip releases from the lip on the throttle body.

  8. Object Number: 366998  Size: SH
  9. Remove the radiator inlet hose from the support.
  10. Remove the radiator inlet hose from the radiator.

  11. Object Number: 367002  Size: SH
  12. Remove the radiator inlet hose from the thermostat housing.
  13. Remove the radiator inlet hose.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 367002  Size: SH
  1. Install the radiator inlet hose to the thermostat housing.

  2. Object Number: 366998  Size: SH
  3. Install the radiator inlet hose to the radiator.
  4. Install the radiator inlet hose to the support.

  5. Object Number: 489176  Size: SH
  6. Align the hinge clip with the lip on the throttle body.
  7. Install the air inlet tube and resonator to the throttle body by pivoting the air inlet tube and resonator downward until the mounting stud is through the hole in the air inlet tube.

  8. Install the resonator retaining wing nut.
  9. Connect the PCV hose to the air cleaner outlet duct.

  10. Object Number: 373468  Size: SH
  11. Connect the MAF/IAT sensor assembly harness connector.
  12. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .

Radiator Inlet Hose Replacement 4.8, 5.3, and 6.0L Engines

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 307286  Size: SH
  1. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
  2. Loosen the air cleaner outlet duct clamps at the following locations:
  3. • Throttle body
    • Mass airflow/intake air temperature (MAF/IAT) sensor
  4. Remove the radiator inlet hose clip from the outlet hose.
  5. Remove the air cleaner outlet duct.
  6. If necessary, remove the engine sight shield. Refer to Upper Intake Manifold Sight Shield Replacement in Engine Mechanical - 4.8L, 5.3L, and 6.0L.

  7. Object Number: 659465  Size: SH
  8. Remove the radiator vent inlet hose from the radiator inlet hose clips.

  9. Object Number: 659416  Size: SH
  10. Reposition the inlet hose clamp at the radiator.
  11. Remove the inlet hose clip from the fan shroud.
  12. Remove the inlet hose from the radiator.

  13. Object Number: 659418  Size: SH
  14. Reposition the inlet hose clamp at the water pump.
  15. Remove the inlet hose from the water pump.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 659418  Size: SH
  1. Install the inlet hose to the water pump.
  2. Position the inlet hose clamp at the water pump.

  3. Object Number: 659416  Size: SH
  4. Install the inlet hose to the radiator.
  5. Position the inlet hose clamp at the radiator.
  6. Install the inlet hose clip to the fan shroud.

  7. Object Number: 659465  Size: SH
  8. Install the radiator vent inlet hose to the radiator inlet hose clips.
  9. If necessary, install the engine sight shield. Refer to Upper Intake Manifold Sight Shield Replacement in Engine Mechanical - 4.8L, 5.3L, and 6.0L.

  10. Object Number: 307286  Size: SH

    Important: Align the arrow at the throttle body end of the duct with the throttle body attaching stud.

  11. Install the air cleaner outlet duct.
  12. Install the radiator inlet hose clip to the outlet duct.
  13. Tighten the air cleaner outlet duct clamps at the following locations:
  14. • Throttle body
    • MAF/IAT sensor

    Tighten
    Tighten the air cleaner outlet duct clamp screws to 7 N·m (62 lb in).

  15. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .

Radiator Inlet Hose Replacement 6.6L

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 674532  Size: SH
  1. Drain the engine coolant. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
  2. Move the hose clamps back on the radiator inlet hose.
  3. Remove the radiator inlet hose from the radiator.
  4. Remove the radiator inlet hose from the water outlet tube.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 674532  Size: SH
  1. Install the radiator inlet hose to the water outlet tube.
  2. Install the radiator inlet hose to the radiator.
  3. Install the hose clamps on the radiator outlet hose.
  4. Fill the engine coolant. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .

Radiator Inlet Hose Replacement 8.1L

Removal Procedure

Important: Most truck models use a spring-type hose clamp at the hose connections. When using this type of clamp, install the radiator hoses on dry, non-painted surfaces in order to ensure proper sealing. Reusing the spring-type clamps on aftermarket hoses is not recommended.

  1. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
  2. Reposition the inlet hose clamp at the radiator.
  3. Remove the inlet hose from the radiator.

  4. Object Number: 751425  Size: SH
  5. Reposition the inlet hose clamp at the water crossover.
  6. Remove the inlet hose from the water crossover.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 751425  Size: SH
  1. Install the inlet hose to the water crossover.
  2. Position the inlet hose clamp at the water crossover.

  3. Object Number: 72737  Size: SH
  4. Install the inlet hose to the radiator.
  5. Position the inlet hose clamp at the radiator.
  6. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
