Clutch Concentric Actuator Cylinder Replacement NV3500 and NV4500

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 772346  Size: SH
  1. Remove the manual transmission. Refer to Transmission Replacement in Manual Transmission - NV 3500, or Transmission Replacement in Manual Transmission - NV 4500.
  2. Remove the clutch actuator cylinder bolts.
  3. Remove the clutch actuator cylinder.
  4. If required, the clutch release bearing can be removed from the clutch actuator cylinder for replacement.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the clutch actuator cylinder.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the clutch actuator cylinder bolts.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the clutch actuator cylinder bolts to 8 N·m (71 lb in).

  5. Install the manual transmission. Refer to Transmission Replacement in Manual Transmission - NV 3500, or Transmission Replacement in Manual Transmission - NV 4500.

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 776228  Size: SH
  1. Remove the manual transmission. Refer to Transmission Replacement in Manual Transmission - ZF S6-650.
  2. Remove the clutch actuator cylinder bolts.
  3. Remove the clutch actuator cylinder.
  4. If required, the clutch release bearing can be removed from the clutch actuator cylinder for replacement.
