Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 664851  Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection in Engine Electrical.
  2. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling in Engine Cooling.
  3. Remove the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement .
  4. Remove the right turbo charged air outlet hose.

  6. Remove the left turbo charged air outlet hose.
  7. Remove the engine wiring harness. Refer to Engine Wiring Harness Assembly Replacement .

  8. Object Number: 755196  Size: SH
  9. Remove the water outlet pipe. Refer to Water Outlet Tube Replacement in Engine Cooling.
  10. Disconnect the fuel lines quick connects.

  11. Object Number: 660425  Size: SH
  12. Remove the air conditioning (A/C) compressor/power steering (P/S) pump bracket. Refer to Air Conditioning (A/C) Compressor and Power Steering Pump Bracket Replacement in Engine Mechanical - 6.6L.
  13. Remove the heater pipe assembly.

  15. Remove the fuel line retainer.

  16. Object Number: 755240  Size: SH
  17. Remove the fuel line retainer on the intake.

  18. Object Number: 755237  Size: SH
  19. Remove the nuts retaining the feed line at the junction block.

  20. Object Number: 791983  Size: SH
  21. Remove the fuel hose from feed line.
  22. Remove the fuel feed (1) line from engine.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 791983  Size: SH
  1. Install the fuel feed line (1) to the engine.
  2. Install the fuel hose to the feed line.

  3. Object Number: 755237  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Install the nuts retaining the feed line at the junction block.
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the nuts to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

  6. Install the fuel line retainer on the intake.
  7. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 16 N·m (11 lb ft).

  8. Install the fuel line retainer.
  9. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 16 N·m (11 lb ft).

  10. Install the heater pipe assembly.
  11. Install the A/C compressor/ P/S pump bracket. Refer to Air Conditioning (A/C) Compressor and Power Steering Pump Bracket Replacement in Engine Mechanical - 6.6L.

  12. Object Number: 755196  Size: SH
  13. Connect the fuel lines at the quick connects.
  14. Install the water outlet pipe. Refer to Water Outlet Tube Replacement in Engine Cooling.

  15. Object Number: 664853  Size: SH
  16. Install the engine wiring harness assembly. Refer to Engine Wiring Harness Assembly Replacement .
  17. Install the left turbo charged air outlet hose.

  18. Object Number: 664851  Size: SH
  19. Install the right turbo charged air outlet hose.
  20. Install the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement .
  21. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection in Engine Electrical.
  22. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling in Engine Cooling.
