For 1990-2009 cars only
Removal Procedure
- Remove the air inlet tube and resonator retaining wing nut.
- Remove the air inlet tube and resonator from the throttle body by pivoting the air inlet tube and resonator upward until the hinge clip releases from the lip on the throttle body.
- Remove the accelerator cable from the cable routing bracket.
- Remove the accelerator cable from the throttle body lever.
- Remove the accelerator cable from the engine cable bracket.
- Remove the left instrument panel insulator.
- Disconnect the accelerator cable retainer (3) from the accelerator pedal lever (2).
- Squeeze the accelerator cable cover tangs (1) and push the cable through the dash panel.
- Remove the accelerator cable.
Installation Procedure
- Install the accelerator cable through the dash panel. Snap the accelerator cable cover tangs (1) through the dash panel.
- Install the accelerator cable through the slot in the accelerator pedal lever.
- Seat the retainer (3) in the accelerator pedal lever (2).
- Install the accelerator cable to the engine cable bracket.
- Install the accelerator cable to the throttle body lever.
- Install the accelerator cable to the cable routing bracket.
- Align the hinge clip with the lip on the throttle body.
- Install the resonator retaining wing nut.
Install the air inlet tube and resonator to the throttle body by pivoting the air inlet tube and resonator downward until the mounting stud is through the hole in the air inlet tube.
