When servicing the vehicle with the VIN you entered, the following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the described symptoms.

SERVICE VME

Some customers may comment on a rattle noise due to loose hubcap assemblies. It is important to note that if these caps are over-tightened during dealer installation, the plastic caps will, by design, jump threads which can result in a loose or rattle condition. Do not use an impact wrench on these plastic nut caps. Use a hand held deep socket wrench or torque stick to fully seat each nut cap. Refer to Service Technical Bulletin # 03-03-10-002 dated January, 2003.

Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed. If these steps do not resolve the condition, please contact GM TAC for further diagnostic assistance. This diagnostic approach was developed for the vehicle with the VIN you entered and should not be automatically be used for other vehicles with similar symptoms.
