THE T.V. EXHAUST VALVE, WHICH IS SHOWN IN YOUR 1982 AND 1983 SERVICE MANUALS, WAS NEVER PUT INTO PRODUCTION ON ANY THM 700-R4 TRANSMISSION. DELETE ANY REFERENCE TO THE T.V. EXHAUST VALVE IN YOUR 1982 AND 1983 SERVICE MANUALS. SHOULD THE T.V. CABLE BECOME DISCONNECTED OR EVEN BREAK, THE RESULTING CONDITION WOULD BE EARLY OR SOFT SHIFTS.
