The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
Replacement pump cover may come with a input speed sensor (ISS) hole and the original pump did not. If the pump is installed with an open ISS hole, TCC release oil will leak and a stuck on TCC may result.
Recommendation/Instructions:
Replacement pump part numbers: 24235906, 24235907, 24235909 and 24235910 may come with an ISS opening. If the original pump did not have an ISS and the vehicle does not require an ISS it will be necessary to install a plug kit.
The plug kit part number is 24234175 that will include a plug and seal, also part number 8680764, retaining bolt, will be required.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
