Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 782174  Size: SH
  1. Remove the air cleaner outlet resonator. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Resonator Replacement .
  2. Disconnect the throttle position (TP) sensor electrical connector (1).

  3. Object Number: 10935  Size: SH
  4. Remove the TP sensor screws.

  5. Object Number: 10936  Size: SH

    Notice: The TP sensor is an electrical component. Do not soak the TP sensor in any liquid cleaner or solvent, as damage may result.

  6. Remove the TP sensor.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the TP sensor.
  2. Align the TP sensor with the throttle shaft.

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the TP sensor screws.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  5. Connect the TP sensor electrical connector (1).
  6. Install the air cleaner outlet resonator. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Resonator Replacement .
