Fuse Block Replacement Left Bussed Electrical Center

Removal Procedure

    Caution: Unless directed otherwise, the ignition and start switch must be in the OFF or LOCK position, and all electrical loads must be OFF before servicing any electrical component. Disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent an electrical spark should a tool or equipment come in contact with an exposed electrical terminal. Failure to follow these precautions may result in personal injury and/or damage to the vehicle or its components.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

  2. Object Number: 386487  Size: SH
  3. Remove the left side end panel.
  4. Press on the clips on the top and the bottom in order to remove the left bussed electrical center (LBEC) from the instrument panel (IP) assembly.

Installation Procedure

  1. Position the LBEC onto the IP assembly.
  2. Press on the clips on the top and the bottom of the LBEC. Push in the clips until the clips seat.

  3. Object Number: 386487  Size: SH
  4. Install the left side end panel.
  5. Connect the negative battery cable.

Fuse Block Replacement Right Bussed Electrical Center

Removal Procedure

    Caution: Unless directed otherwise, the ignition and start switch must be in the OFF or LOCK position, and all electrical loads must be OFF before servicing any electrical component. Disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent an electrical spark should a tool or equipment come in contact with an exposed electrical terminal. Failure to follow these precautions may result in personal injury and/or damage to the vehicle or its components.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the right side end panel.
  3. Unclip the wiring connector from the front of the right bussed electrical center (RBEC). Unclip the harness from the fastener.

  4. Object Number: 375032  Size: SH
  5. Remove the RBEC by pressing on both of the clips and pulling rearward.
  6. Disconnect lower instrument panel (IP) light bulb by twisting the bulb counter-clockwise and pulling the bulb rearward.
  7. Feed the RBEC through the hole in IP.

Installation Procedure

  1. Feed the RBEC through the hole in the IP.
  2. Connect the lower IP light bulb by twisting the bulb socket clockwise while pushing in.

  3. Object Number: 375030  Size: SH
  4. Connect the RBEC by pressing on both clips and pushing until sealed.

  5. Object Number: 375032  Size: SH
  6. Connect the wiring connector onto the front of the RBEC and connect the harness to the fastener.
  7. Install the right side end panel.
  8. Connect the negative battery cable.

Fuse Block Replacement Mid Bussed Electrical Center

Removal Procedure

    Caution: Unless directed otherwise, the ignition and start switch must be in the OFF or LOCK position, and all electrical loads must be OFF before servicing any electrical component. Disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent an electrical spark should a tool or equipment come in contact with an exposed electrical terminal. Failure to follow these precautions may result in personal injury and/or damage to the vehicle or its components.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable(s).
  2. Remove the harness from the front of the mid bussed electrical center (MBEC).

  3. Object Number: 395180  Size: SH
  4. Unsnap the cover from the MBEC.

  5. Object Number: 395181  Size: SH
  6. Unsnap the top pivots and rotate the MBEC (1) down. Unsnap the lower pivots and remove the MBEC from the bracket (2).
  7. Disconnect the two 68 Way IP connectors.

Installation Procedure

  1. Connect the two 68 Way IP connectors.

  2. Object Number: 395181  Size: SH
  3. Snap the MBEC (1) onto the bracket (2).
  4. Connect the harness to the front of the MBEC.

  5. Object Number: 395180  Size: SH
  6. Fasten the cover to the MBEC.
  7. Connect the negative battery cable(s).
