UNDERDASH HEATER CASE HOT- SPOT INSTALL HEAT INSULATOR

SUBJECT: UNDER-DASH HEATER CASE HOT SPOT (INSTALL HEAT INSULATOR)

VEHICLES AFFECTED: 88-91 C/K TRUCKS

Some 1988-91 C/K Pickups may experience a heater case hot spot in the passenger side floor area.

If this condition is encountered, a newly released insulator may be installed on the heater case, refer to Figures 1 and 2.

SERVICE PROCEDURE:

1. Clean heater case with brake cleaner to allow insulator to adhere to surface.

2. Fold insulator to the shape of heater case.

3. Align edges of insulator to heater box before installation, as shown in Figure 1.

4. Peel backing off insulator and install insulator to heater case, refer to Figure 2.
