CORRECTION-ALIGNMENT SPECS. 1988 C AND K TRUCKS

MODEL AND YEAR: 1988 C-K PICK UP TRUCKS

The front end alignment specifications shown on Page 3A-8 of the 1988 C-K Pick-Up Truck Service manual are incorrect. The correct specifications are as follows:

MODEL CHAMBER CASTER TOE-IN

C100, 200, 300 .5 +/- .5 3.75 +/- 1.0 .24 +/- .2 K-100, K-200 .9 +/- .5 4.00 +/- 1.0 .14 +/- .2 K-300 .75 +/- .5 4.00 +/- 1.0 .14 +/- .2

Vehicle must be jounced at least 3 times before checking alignment.

o Front suspension (Z) dimension and rear suspension (D) dimension are held as indicated in the "Trim Heights" chart.

o Right and left toe should be set separately and equally per wheel, with steering wheel held in straight ahead position within +/- 5 degrees.

o Max. cross chamber (left minus right) .5 degree.

o Max cross caster (left minus right) 1.0 degree.

o For service, use #15538596 adjustment kit.

o Caster angle must be corrected to the level frame angle.

TRIM HEIGHTS "Z" HEIGHT All "Z" Heights are 73.6 +/- 6.0mm.

"D" HEIGHT All "D" Heights are 182.0 +/- 6.0mm.
