This bulletin is being issued to inform dealers that whenever it is necessary
to remove the EHCU connector for ABS diagnosis, use the following steps to avoid breaking
off the locking tabs of the EHCU.
- Release the white handle by pushing in the center
latch. Refer to the illustration above.
Notice: If the white handle is
not at full opening angle, the locking tabs of the EHCU may break if excessive force
is applied.
- Rotate the white handle counterclockwise and slowly
pull out the connector from the EHCU at the same time. Do not apply excessive force
to the connector. Refer to the illustration above.
If the connector is
not completely unobstructed, be sure to hold the white handle at full opening angle
while gently pulling out the connector.
