Some owners of the above vehicles may want to have the RKE key fob radio personalization feature enabled (turned on) or disabled (turned off).

With this feature, the vehicle will recall the latest radio setting as adjusted the last time the vehicle was operated. This feature allows 2 different drivers to store and recall their own settings for AM and FM presets, last tuned station, volume, tone and audio source. The settings recalled by the radio are determined by which transmitter was used to enter the vehicle. After the UNLOCK button is pressed on the key fob and the ignition is in RUN, the radio settings will automatically adjust to where they were last set by the identified driver. All vehicles are shipped with the feature on.

A procedure using the Tech 2® has been developed to enable or disable the RKE key fob radio personalization feature. Use the following procedure:

  1. Install the Tech 2® to the vehicle and power on.
  2. Select "Diagnostic" from the menu.
  3. Build the vehicle from the menu options.
  4. Select "Radio" from the menu.
  5. Select "Special Functions" from the menu.
  6. Select "Key Fob Personalization" from the menu and "Continue" using the soft key.
  7. An * before Key Fob Personalization indicates that this feature is activated. No * indicates the feature is de-activated. Use the Enter key to activate or de-activate the feature. When done, use the soft key to save.
